Residential quarters were constructed by the C.P.W.D. in phased manner starting from 1962. Presently about 80% of the employees are provided accommodation, However 100% accommodation has been provided to the CISF personnel in family quarters and barracks.

Recreation facilities are also available in Kamgar Kalyan Kendra and Senior Staff Club. Gazetted officers also have a forum known as Gazetted Officers Club to have get together for celebrations of functions and festivals. The vanita Mandal (Ladies Club) also plays vital role in promoting the welfare and social activities among the women and children. The first lady of the organization i.e. wife of General Manager/ Head of the Department is the ex-officio chairperson of the Vanita Mandal. Well maintained play grounds are available in the premises for sports and games.

Well equipped and staffed dispensary provides free medical services to the employees and their dependants. Dispensary also runs the educative and health care programs for the employees. A benevolent fund started in 1978 provides immediate relief to the dependants of employee dying in harness.

A consumer co-operative society is run by employees of the mill to cater the needs of the residents. Round the clock canteen facilities, with departmental services, have been provided in the mill.

A covered badminton wooden court is the great privilege to the all aged badminton players.

From education point of view, there is one Central School (KV) run by CBSE, one Primary School, one Middle School and one Higher Secondary School run under the control of M.P. Education Board.
